Sleeper
Leaving Örnsköldsvik aboard night train 77, I am travelling in a single sleeper compartment from the 1960’s which, even if it has been refreshed a couple of times, still retains much of its original charm, including signs in French (not English).
Already when I woke up a bit south of Örebro, I could hear the rain, and as I walked over to the buffet car, I was met with a sharp contrast from the last days of endless sunshine. For breakfast, I brought along Åsa Wikforss’ book “Thus Democracy” that I will use in one of my courses in the fall.
