Summer trails
There is something with the smell of the pine forest here in Västerbotten that immediately makes me think of trail running, of early mornings and long summer afternoons when I have been running with Elin or alone through these forests, chasing CRs or just adding kilometres to kilometres.
Today, I went
out for a first longer run along the dog sled trail where I was surprised to
find so much snow and ice in the forest.
Likewise, passing
through the bogland, the water was freezing cold. Still, the run had a definite
summerly feel to it, including going into the water at Nydala beach afterwards to
clean up my legs a bit.
