Periphery

No matter how you think about it, Umeå is in the periphery. Yet for all its remoteness, that very distance also allows for a certain playfulness – like today, when I made locally sourced roasted almond potatoes with rosemary and garlic in the oven, very much in line with the now-closed restaurant Invito’s motto: “Where Norrland meets Italy”.
