Energy density
One thing I
often struggle to communicate in debates about renewable versus nuclear energy
is the concept of energy density. Yesterday, at Tom Titt Experiment in
Södertälje, I think I found the perfect illustration in the human-powered
helicopter above.
Now, on the
train back to Gothenburg, I am commenting on thesis drafts from my students,
but I find myself distracted by the many moving tributes to Stina Oscarsson,
one of the most important voices in the Swedish public debate, who went silent
four days ago after a life-long struggle with anorexia. While I occasionally
disagreed with some of the things she wrote or said, I always made time to read
her texts when they appeared. I will dearly miss her perspective.
