Feskekôrka

This month, Anna and I decided to use the American Express dining benefit for my birthday and a chance to visit “Victor von G” in the newly restored Feskekörka while Anna's mother was kind enough to take care of the kids.

Sharing a bottle of Grüner Veltliner from Schloss Gobelsburg in Niederösterreich, we were served a two-course complimentary dinner. Anna started with a red curry soup while I chose a grilled salmon skewer with radish, crushed cucumber, and sesame mayonnaise. For the main course, we both had the European plaice, served with olive pesto and oven-roasted potatoes.

Although not included in the Amex offer, we could not resist the house banana split for dessert – caramelized banana ice cream, tonka bean, meringue, and chocolate sauce. All in all, a wonderful evening. We left happy and already talking about coming back.
