White January
For the last nine days here in Kiruna, we have truly indulged, first in Christmas food, and then on a whirlwind culinary tour around the world, with food and wine from Argentina to Australia via the Douro Valley. Tonight, we stayed on the Iberian Peninsula for some paella and an AlbariƱo from the Basque Country. While New Year's Eve still remains to be celebrated in style, I have already decided that I will skip all alcohol and all sweets for the month of January, something that I urgently need to get in shape for the Bandolerita mountain ultra that is coming up in 68 days from today.
