Long row
When I
first started rowing at the gym, my usual distance was 3,000 meters. Three
thousand eventually became five thousand and then, one day during the pandemic,
I challenged myself to row a full 10,000 meters in one go. Over time, those 10k
became the new normal, and as I have set higher annual goals, I realized that
it was just a matter of time before I would aim for more. When Eddie did 12k
last Monday, I of course had to attempt the same feat myself.
Being back
in Halmstad for a week of statistics, the fox-o-meter is otherwise off the
charts as I make dinner for myself here on Hallandsgatan. Feeling honestly
sorry for the students who will have four hours non-stop with me and SPSS
tomorrow morning – courtesy of a shortage of suitable classrooms – I guess I
should go over the slides once more to make sure that I am as prepared as I can
be.
