IPCA
As Sofi is
heading down to Thailand for the IPCA (International Prison Chaplains'
Association) Worldwide Conference as well as her 50th birthday, the day had
finally come to send her off in the best way possible – with a visit to the
American Express Lounge by Pontus Frithiof at Arlanda. Having only experienced
their breakfast offering before, Sofi and I were in for an absolute treat, one
that surpassed even my already sky-high expectations.
Starting
off with a “First Class Fiz” and an Aperol Spritz respectively, we indulged in sautéed venison and
miso-baked salmon (for those who know me, of course I went for
the salmon), paired with lovely wine from Emilia-Romagna and more than a few
samples from the (highly foxy) charcuterie board.
Now, in the
air for the short hop back to Gothenburg and Landvetter Airport, I can look
forward to a week of academic writing and seminars in Halmstad. While I still
think I will stay away from Rawls & Me for the time being, I will probably
post an update next week when I am taking the train to Kalmar with William for
the national school chess championship.
